The Fragomen law firm, who provides I-9 employment verification compliance services to Google, has confirmed a data breach affecting current and former Google employees. Fragomen became aware of suspicious activity within its computer network and soon discovered that an unauthorized third party was able to access a file containing personal information relating to I-9 employment verification services. This breach was discovered on September 24, 2020, and the file included personal information. It is currently not known what kind of data was accessed or how many people were affected.
