Data Security Alert: Hacker Posted User Information From Dating Service MeetMindful

A hacker posted user information from MeetMindful, a wellness-themed dating service. According to the company, this leak of data affects users who signed up to the service prior to March 2020. Users that signed up after March 2020 or updated their account details since March 2020 were not affected. The information that was released were names, emails, encrypted passwords, location of users, email addresses, and in some cases, date of birth. Payment details, messages, profile answers, photos, or any other personal information was not accessed. 

What This Means

When a site is breached, your personal information can be accessed by hackers and can be made publicly available on the internet. Any information of a person has a chance to be exposed, no matter how secure the site can be.

What You Should Do
