Data Breach Alert: T-Mobile Has Been Hacked, Nearly 50 Million People Affected

On August 16, 2021, T-Mobile confirmed that a breach has occurred in their system. According to reports, someone on a hacker forum claimed that they got access to data of 100 million T-Mobile customers. The cellular service has confirmed that nearly 50 million customers were affected in the breach. Information includes customers’ first and last names, date of birth, Social Security numbers, and driver’s license information. T-Mobile has said they have fixed the security issue and access to data has been closed. No financial information was accessed. The company has suffered a data breach in each of the past three years. 

What This Means
