Data Breach Alert: StockX Customer Data Accessed by Unknown Third Party

Upon learning of a recent data security issue affecting its customers, StockX announced that a third party gained access to customer data including: customer name, email address, shipping address, username, hashed passwords, and purchase history. In response StockX implemented a system-wide security update, a full password reset of all customer passwords, a high-frequency credential rotation on all servers and devices, and a lockdown of their cloud computing perimeter.

What This Means

When a site is breached, your personal information can be accessed by hackers and can be made publicly available on the internet. Any information of a person has a chance to be exposed, no matter how secure the site can be.

What You Should Do
