Security Researcher Troy Hunt announced approximately 772 million email addresses and over 21 million passwords have been exposed on the cloud service, MEGA. This information was then posted on a popular hacking forum. The 12,000 separate files of the breached information have been taken down on the cloud service since news broke. It was reported that the data in these files were up to three years old.

What This Means
